Cockpit Mail - Privacy policy

Effective 16 October 2026. Cockpit Mail home

Cockpit Mail is a private tool used by one person, its owner, to let the owner's personal AI assistant work with the owner's own Gmail. It has no other users. This policy explains what Google user data it accesses and what happens to that data.

What Google data it accesses

It does not access contacts, calendars, files or any other Google data.

How the data is used

Only to do what the owner asks: find, read and summarise the owner's mail, save an attachment the owner asks for, and send the owner messages. Mail is fetched from Google on demand, directly to the owner's own computer.

To answer the owner's request, the text of the messages the assistant reads is passed to the AI service the owner uses for the assistant (currently Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI), under the owner's own accounts with those services. Nothing is passed to anyone else.

Sharing

Google user data is not sold, not shared with anyone other than the AI services above, not used for advertising, and not used by Cockpit Mail to develop, improve or train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

Cockpit Mail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and security

Retention and removal

The owner can withdraw Cockpit Mail's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; access stops immediately. Local records stay on the owner's computer until the owner deletes them.
